In the vast majority of cases, there is no such need. We can handle all the formalities, review documents and conduct consultations remotely (by email, telephone or online), and I can represent you in court on the basis of a power of attorney.

Our day-to-day communication and consultations take place in Polish or English. In cases requiring the review of documents, I also draw on my knowledge of Swedish, which facilitates cooperation with the Swedish authorities.

A brief initial telephone call to discuss the matter in general terms is free of charge. I will then provide you with a clear quote for a detailed analysis of the documents or the drafting of a legal opinion, so that you know in advance what the work will cost.

Mediation is a voluntary process in which the parties themselves, with the help of a mediator, work out an agreement. It is considerably quicker, cheaper and less stressful than a court case, and a mediation agreement approved by a Polish court can have very strong legal consequences, comparable to an agreement reached in court.

Most often, a Swedish death certificate is required, as well as documents confirming the relationship (e.g., an extract from the population register maintained by the Tax Office). I help my clients make a list of documents and advise them on how to properly certify them.

Yes, I work as a local partner (of counsel) for Swedish lawyers and business advisers. I help them to interpret Polish legislation, review documents and represent their Swedish clients directly in Poland.
